IABC Corporate Membership Toolkit

IABC is happy to announce the launch of the new IABC Corporate Membership program. The new program structure is the result of two years of research and analysis of the primary needs of business communicators and their organizations by the Membership Task Force and IABC staff. You'll find everything you need to know about the new model and the resources that you need to support your chapter's corporate membership in the toolkit below.

How will Corporate Members benefit from this new program?

IABC has restructured the Corporate Membership program to better address the top needs of communication professionals: access to peer-to-peer networking and knowledge share, to keep current with new issues and developments, and to learn new skills and acquire knowledge. The new model shifts from a transaction based discount program to a sustainable strategic partnership that elevates the standard of professional communication in businesses.
The new IABC Corporate Membership packages provide organizations with a fully integrated solution for professional education, peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, and best practice resources for their entire communication team. Features of the new corporate membership packages include:

  • Unlimited access for corporate members to all courses through the IABC Academy
  • An educational pathway to professional certification through the Global Communication Certification Council (GCCC)
  • Complimentary Gold Quill Awards entries
  • Global Communication Certification Council (GCCC) certification exam application fee waivers, and more

Check out the IABC website for a complete list of benefits.

How will the new program impact existing members?

While all new corporate members must join under this enhanced corporate membership program going forward, we've built in flexibility for current corporate members.  Your chapter's current corporate members can choose to either convert their corporate membership to one of the new corporate membership packages or renew their membership one more time under the previous group discount program.
Your chapter's current corporate members will receive their next renewal invoice from IABC with options for renewal under the current/old program structure, with an option to upgrade to the new and enhanced program. The messaging they receive with that invoice will explain their options for renewal under either corporate membership structure, the enhanced value offered by the new IABC Corporate Membership program, and provide direction for those corporate members who wish to convert their membership to one of the new corporate membership packages.

Toolkit

As an IABC leader we want to make sure you have the resources you need to help support corporate members and corporate membership growth within your chapter or region. We've developed the marketing toolkit below which provides the tools and resources your chapter needs to assist current corporate members to understand the new corporate membership structure and recruit new corporate members.
We'll continue adding new resources over the next couple of weeks, including a promotional video, online decision tree, samples of what corporate members will receive when they are due for renewal, and more. Check back to continue taking advantage of these resources as they become available.
